John Coomes, President of CERTUS, applies over 20 years of international business development and technology license transfer experience to the global launch of the CERTUS system. Responsible for strategic development, global sales and customer support, Mr. Coomes co-leads the CERTUS launch into Food Safety. In his career Mr. Coomes has facilitated global business development between U.S., Japan, China and Europe with a focus on precision industrial technology. Founder of Toho Technology Inc. in 1999 Mr. Coomes established businesses in the fields such of semiconductor and displays inspection, medical diagnostic imaging, water purification and the recent launch of CERTUS rapid pathogen detection platform. Mr. Coomes has served as an Executive Director on Toho Technology Corporation’s Board of Directors since 2012. Prior to joining Toho Technology, he was the President of H&R Consultants in Nagoya, Japan providing international business development, consulting, and operations management. Mr. Coomes earned a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University in U.S. History, Education, & Japanese Studies and attended Nanzan University in Nagoya Japan. Mr. Coomes is fluent in English and Japanese.
